Despite not being the words’ best poet, I love to write it!

Something is freeing about playing with words and seeing what you can create.

It’s a love letter to your thoughts. A note on the intricacies of language.

A flirtation with literature.

My writing journey has been difficult.

Mostly held back by my insecurities and need to earn a living to escape poverty. I haven’t been able to just do what I love.

I have to do what pays the bills. For so long I’ve put off putting pen to paper for fear of not being able to make it.

Because hobbies don’t lead to success or put food on the table. At least that what my mind tells me.

Now with no rules and embracing the freedom found at the end of a pen. I find myself drawn to poems. To sharing my thoughts behind layers of meaning.

Freedom that comes with a mask.

I’m enjoying not thinking of what’s good and only what matters. I love having a space to share the sorrow. And somewhere to fill part of the void in my life.
