Heart of Ice

You say I seem icy
can’t feel my love anymore
I’m just frozen now
my heart cold and torn.

You say you want me back
I’m too far gone to be reached
once something is made solid
It’s hard to make incomplete

You say you miss my kindness
but it can only last so long
once chipped away at
its foundation’s no longer strong.

You say I’m the Ice Queen now
I wear my crown with pride
I could only take so much cruelty
before I changed forever inside.
