I Changed My Mind About Renewing My Medium Membership

I wasn’t going to subscribe again but a few things changed my mind

When my Medium membership finished I decided not to renew. I hadn’t really used it as much as I thought I would over the year and I decided as a new freelancer to save some money.

However, a few things changed my mind and I am once again a Medium member.

I Didn’t Utilise My Membership Last Year

Life gets busy sometimes and I didn’t have the time to read as much as I wanted or write as much as I planned to.

The fact that I didn’t get the most out of my membership was entirely my own fault so subscribing again seems like a good idea to see what I can get out of it.

I’m Now a Freelancer and Would Like to Have Some Remote Colleagues

Support from other writers is really nice, whether someone reads my work, leaves a comment or offers some help or advice it’s nice to have that remote support.

I’ve worked from home since March 2020 but whilst I was still at my remote office job I had virtual meetings and spoke to colleagues throughout the day. I don’t have that now so the Medium community is a nice…
