Make an Investment in Yourself
It’s time to put yourself first

We spend so much time working for others, helping out family and even strangers that it can be easy to forget to focus on yourself.
I recently left a job and I realised I don’t have anything to show for it. Some more experience for my CV and a bit of savings sure, but in terms of reaching my goals I am no closer than when I started my job there. It was a means to an end which became my whole life.
Most of our working lives are spent making other people richer or working for a pay cheque. When do we have time to invest in ourselves?
Here’s why you should make an investment in yourself and the reason isn’t always financial.
Put Yourself First for a Change
Think about every time you helped someone today.
You may have helped your boss earn more money for their business or helped a colleague with a project. Maybe you helped a family member move house or a friend fill in a job application. Perhaps you helped a stranger reach something in the supermarket or gave them directions.
On a daily basis we do a lot to help others but maybe we need to help ourselves too.
