Sleepwalking

Not quite awake
yet no longer asleep
I drift
through the day
with tired mind
desperately searching
for the light of day
to kick in
chase the bad dreams away
I sway
towards the daylight
I blink at the sun
thoughts still in the dark
the day has not yet begun
broken memories
play with hollowed out thoughts
sleepwalking through this life
with no awareness at all
