The Black Dog

They say it’s a black dog
Following you throughout the day
A shadow
Snapping at your heels
Threatening to tear you apart

For me it’s a blank page
A white canvas
An empty room
A space that no words can fill

Over time this page gets crumpled
Torn to shreds
Until there is no way
To start again

Thanks for reading the 1st poem I’ve been brave enough to share online :)
